Waterford survive Limerick comeback to win this exciting U 16 championship game.
Limerick had the better start with a point from Maeve Hennan and a cracking goal from Aoibhinn Murphy while Waterford failed to score from some good chances,but managed to get a point just before the water break to leave Limerick ahead 1-2 to a point.
The teams exchanged points after the waterbreak and a goal from Kaci brazil
And three pointed frees had Waterford ahead 1-6 to1-3 at the break.
Waterford looked to have put the game beyond Limerick with five well struck points a brace from Jane Kirwan ,with only a single point from Limerick.
A goal from Limerick after 25 minutes closed the margin to 4 points but Waterford responded with a goal of their own.
Limerick were not finished yet and managed another goal but time was to run out for them and Waterford were the winners by 4 points.
