It has been a busy few weeks for our college students who have battled near freezing
temperatures, long journeys, Snow filled football pitches and for some having to balance the demands of the national league but finally we are approaching the final hurdles of the OâConnor, Giles and Lynch cups. So maybe there is no better time than to catch up with what has happened to date. Donal Barry caught up with the busy DJ Collins to get a better insight to what

OâConnor Cup Round Up
So with
Belfast fast approaching we have reached the third round of qualifying games
which will take place on March 6th all with 2.30 throw ins.
Last week
both Munster sides UCC and UL enjoyed wins while DCU had too much for UCD in
the Dublin derby.

Giles Cup Round Up
It was a
mixed week for Munster teams in the Giles Cup with a good home win for MICL but
a big home defeat for Tralee IT. While defeat ends any hope Tralee may have

the most exciting battles for the last remaining spots for Belfast are here in
the Lynch Cup. With one spot already secured by St. Pats itâs a straight
Munster shoot out between CIT and WIT while ULâs second team also head into the
last round knowing a win will be enough for them

winner of the CIT v WIT will qualifies for the weekend. IF the game ends in a
draw, WIT qualify on a better score difference
