St Marys Midelton Our Ladys & Kinsale CS crowned Lidl champions

Plenty of excitment in the Lidl Munster LGFA PPS finals

In the Junior A final we have new champions in St Marys Midelton

they defeated the holders Loreto Clonmel in a very tight game that

went right down to the wire with the Cork girls holding a slender two point advantage

to earn their first ever Junior A title,

The Senior C final was a game of high drama Kinsale CS need two goals in the closing minutes of the first half

to close the half time gap to a single point. Mounthawk had a blistering start in the second half to race into a ten point lead ,

Faye Ahern blasted a free kick to the net to start Kinsales revival this was followed by a brace of goals from Fiona Keating and a point from Ahern had the sides level with only 8 minutes left another Ahern goal put Kinsale ahead  . Mounthawk regrouped and a point from Roisin Rahilly steadied the nerves. a goal from Rachel Ryan edeged Mounthawk ahead with time running out . but there was one more twist a slip in the Mounthawk defense   gave the ball to Fiona Keating who cooly took the ball around the keeper and slotted to the nwt to snatch victory for Kinsale CS

Our Ladys Templemore needed extra time to win the Junior C title with

a slim two points victory ouer a gallant Sacred Heart Clonakilty.
