Teams go in search of All Ireland glory

Three
Munster teams will this week be putting the final touches on what is hoped to
be an exciting weekend of club football ahead as The Banner, Boherbue and Na
Gaeil all look to reach their perspective All Ireland club finals.

The Banner
have drawn a tough encounter as they face last seasons All Ireland Senior club
winners Donaghmoyne of Monaghan and with many of the Farney players looking for
some redemption having lost out to Cork in the All-Ireland final it looks like
an uphill battle.

However, the
Banner have been here before, given an outside chance of beating an in form
Ballymac and given less of a chance when they defeated Cork champions St. Vals
in the Munster final.

The Clare
side have ground out results when needed and they have the experience now of
being together as a unit for a few years. The game will take place in Corofin
and it is hope that a good Clare turnout can turn the Galway venue into a home
venue. Game throws in on Sunday 17th November at 1.30pm with Des
McEnery the man in the middle.

In the
Intermediate section, Cork champions Boherbue are on the road to Tuam to play
Galway champions Claregalway. It might be new ground for the Cork club at this
level but having reached the All-Ireland final last season at the junior grade,
it is hoped they can go one better. They edged a close encounter against
Aherlow in the Munster final and this may well stand to them. If they need a
carrot dangled in front of them it is that the team that beat them in the
Junior Final last season Thomas Davis are in the other semi-final and that a
rematch and a chance to redeem their loss might give them the edge they need.
The Game will take place on Sunday in Tuam Stadium at 1.30 with the Ref Terence
McShea

The junior
section will have a Kerry team representing the province for the first time
since 2004 and Na Gaeil will welcome Roscommon champions Shannon Gaels to
Killeen in Tralee on Sunday with a throw in time of 1.30pm. Keith Delahunty
will be the Ref for this one.

Shannon
Gaels have shown some fine form in Roscommom. They were a surprise package in
the Connacht final when they defeated Mayo opposition. Na Gaeil have yet to be
really tested with no team coming within 16 points on them in Kerry or Munster.
Home advantage will be a bonus as they look to be the first Kerry team to reach
an All-Ireland final at this grade since 1997.

We wish all
our Munster teams the best
