Coachford College 2-09 Hazelwood College 1-05
Hazelwood College started strong in the Munster Only C PPS final played in Banter Community Sportsfield`s new Astro pitch a point from Saoirse McCarthy and a goal from Megan Reidy, Coachford were awarded a penalty which was expertly despatched to the net by Caoimhe O Mahony. Laura Buttimer and Laoise Burns added points and a Katie Brown lobbed the keeper for a goal to put Coachford ahead at the water break 2-02 to 1-02.
Some good saves from Mary McAulliffe kept Coachford scoreless in the second quarter while a point from Reidy closed the gap at half time to 2 points. Coachford pushed further ahead with a point from Amy Sheppard and three pointed frees from Laura Buttimer . Hazelwood were not able to convert the chances they created and only had a point from Saoirse McCarthy just before the second water break.
Aoife Barrett was outstanding for Coachford and twice she won the ball deep in her own half and soloed forward inter passing with team mates and finishing the move with two well struck points, midfielder Meadbh Ring added another point for Coachford. Hazelwood tried hard but could only manage a point from captain Caoimhe McCarthy and Coachford were victorious final score 2-09 to 1-05 .
