5 Munster Schools reach PPS All Ireland Finals

Munster Schools advance to final stages of the PPS

After an exciting 2 weeks of PPS Semi-Finals 5 schools (Cork x2, Tipperary x1, Limerick x1, Clare x1) from Munster will now progress to the All Ireland Finals.

Junior

In the Junoir ‘A’ competition the Ursuline Secondary School Thurles although trailing by 6 points at half time, came out on top 2-14 to 2-9.

Junior ‘B’ St Marys Macroom Cork had a comprehensive win over Mercy College Roscommon,  final score 4-15 (27) to 3-08 (17)

While in the Junior ‘C’ Limerick’s Scoil Mhuire agus Íde beat Ballyhaunis Community School by a 5 point margin, final score 3-07 (16) to 2-05 (11)

Senior

Our Senior Finalists, Cork’s Skibbereen Community School, met Merey College Roscomon in Fethard Town Park and in what could only be called a comprehensive win advance to the All Ireland after a 4-11 to 0-03 score difference.

Clare’s St Joseph’s Spanish Point came out second best in the Senior ‘B’ semi final after meeting Mayo’s Mount St Michael from Claremorris 3-09 (18) to 4-13 (25)

Colaiste Muire Ennis after a titanic battle in their Munster Final had another close game when they met Scoil Mhuire from Strokestown last Friday, final score 4-09 (21) to 3-08 (17)
